Came here on the recommendation of another google review for a Sunday Pub Roast, which was delicious! We supersized and got extra beef, yorkshire pudding, veggies and gravy! The menu large enough we came back the next night to try some of the more traditional meals which were also lovely! Even though after a long Bank holiday day, we had incredible service from the wait team at our 8pm booking. Not local to the area but would return if back in Grassington

On holiday in Grassington and had been recommended Sunday lunch at The Black Horse. Very scrumptious roast and staff were very helpful and attentive....apologies but cannot remember the name of the young blonde server. Definitely worth a visit and may even return before we leave the area

Pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! First visit after a quick Google search as the reviews looked promising. Prawn Pad Thai was absolutely delicious. Cauliflower cheese burger was quite good too. Planning to return soon.
Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegetarian and vegan options.

We ate here two nights running (on planned, 1 unplanned). Both nights the food was delicious. We tried the American Burger and the Hot and Crispy Burger on the first night and both were really tasty and good sized dishes. Second night was the Italian Beef Ragu and Chicken Francese which surpassed the burgers the previous day, really tasty, great presentation and again good portion sizes. We also had some kids meals both nights which both kids enjoyed thoroughly, and as with the adults meals were really generous in portion sizes.
We ate midweek (Tuesday and Wednesday) and it was quiet both nights, but we have been here several times just for a drink on a weekend and the restaurant has been really busy. The service was fantastic, highly recommend giving it a try and I’m 100% certain we will be back.

Grassington was busy as the sun came out and people were keen to see the film crew transform the square for All Creatures Great and Small

I was really disappointed in the food. There had been so may positive reviews. Went for sunday lunch. Ordered roast beef and a burger. The roast beef must have been sliced in a meat slicing machine as the slices were uniform 3-4mm thickness. The gravy was artificial , made form granules and not made from the juices of the roast. The burger was served with cheap vinegary coleslaw. The yorkshie pudding and the brioche burger bap were home made but little else was. No surprise that the dining room was empty!

My husband had duck and I had the Korean chicken burger. Both meals were delicious. Full of flavour and a delight to the taste buds! I wasn’t expecting much from a burger but it was the tastiest I’ve ever had. Lovely pub which welcomes dogs and friendly service.
